Penetrating breathable sealer for natural stone, concrete, and masonry

Natural Shield is a penetrating water-based sealer that fills into the pores of cementitious and masonry substrates to create a solid, breathable protective membrane. It delivers the durability of a solvent-based system with none of the odour or environmental impact — invisible protection that does not alter the natural look of the surface.

Invisible Penetrating Protection

Absorbs into the substrate rather than sitting on top — no film, no sheen, no change to the natural appearance of the surface.

Breathable Membrane

Allows moisture vapour to escape from within the substrate, preventing bubbling, delamination, and surface damage common in non-breathable coatings.

UV and Alkali Resistance

Stable under prolonged sun exposure and resistant to alkali bleed from fresh concrete and mortar — maintains performance over time.

Commercial and Industrial Grade

Engineered for high-demand applications including X-Bond Microcement, natural stone facades, stucco, block walls, and tilt-up construction.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Surface Preparation

  2. Clean the surface thoroughly. Remove all dirt, oils, efflorescence, and loose material. Surface must be structurally sound and free of previous coatings.

  1. Moisture Check

  2. Confirm surface moisture is below 6%. Do not apply to wet substrates or in temperatures below 10°C.

  1. Test Area

  2. Apply to a small test area first to confirm absorption and confirm no visible sheen forms on the surface.

  1. First Coat

  2. Apply Natural Shield by roller, brush, or low-pressure sprayer in a liberal, even coat. Allow full absorption — do not let it pool. Wipe off any excess within 5 minutes.

  1. Second Coat (if required)

  2. Apply a second coat once the first is fully absorbed and dry. Allow 24 hours before exposing to foot traffic or weather.
